The Tool that will improve your photography and videos: the Feelworld 5'' external monitor

The F5 is one of many monitors in the Feelworld line-up and as you can see, its format closely resembles the very popular SmallHD Focus 5" monitor, however, this little guy will only set you back about $160 here on Amazon, compared to the SmallHD Focus monitor which runs right around $400-425. So is the Feelworld F5 any good? Let's take a look and you guys can be the judge for yourself.

I had not heard of Feelworld monitors but they have been showing up in my suggestions lately when searching field and rack- mount monitors. Its light, can take a pretty good beating, packs very small, and the picture quality is incredible. The images are very bright and easy to see focus on and the resolution is perfect for DSLR work.
The battery hold very secure and the mount points are very tight, no wobble when tightened down. The user interface isn't perfect but is pretty great, easy to figure out after a few minutes. The Focus assist and other built in tools are a great added benefit.
I mounted to a gimbal and barely noticed a difference in weight. I would highly recommend this unit.. Excited for trying out other monitors from feel-world in the future.

Anamorphic Mode (1.3x, 2.0x, 2.0x mag, User-defined adjustment: 1.20X~2.00X)
Built-in selection of no squeeze, 1.3× or 2.0× allows you to use anamorphic lenses or adapters and see the image unsqueezed, even if your camera does not de-squeeze in camera. A 2.0× mag mode, magnifies the center of your image so you can check the focus of your scaled image.

Safe Mark for View Finding and Composition (80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, 96%, 2.35:1). You can switch the Mark color between Red, Green, Blue, White and Black according to different tone of the subject.

Awesome sharp and lightweight! The included bracket is built well, the sun visor helps a lot, super easy to carry in small bag or backpack with other gear. Love the added colored audio levels, histogram, and anamorphic features for cine lenses. Pretty cool you can set buttons F1/F2 to whatever two features for quick access. Highly recommend this monitor!
